I'd save a little more and get the Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II. It's so much sharper, the AF so much faster, and the IS a little better than the I. I currently own some Sigma lenses, but I don't use them for anything serious, except my 20mm f/1.8. AF reliability or speed just isn't there. I haven't used the Sigma 70-200, although there are those on this forum who swear by them. Personally, I swear at them! Kidding! But I I think you will find that the Canons are definitely worth their extra cost. Between the build quality and fact that Canon lenses have better resale value, I get the Canon version of lenses when I can. |
