All good, sir. I'm mostly disappointed in Nikon for not putting out a DX 16MP version of the V1 body within a reasonable price range (and adapter for the F mount lenses of course).

I hear ya. I think Nikon's route surprised most people. Canon's maybe more so.

I would like to coin the term ILC to refer to both types of cameras. (Interchangable Lens Camera). Honestly, I would love to have a camera that was just like my D300 but with no mirror. If the body and buttons were in the same place I would be in heaven. No more camera shake. Less wear and tear. More frames per second. I don't like the current mirrorless cameras because they have completly different bodies that are more similar to point and shoots.

While I do love my NEX-3 and shoot with in more indoors than my 40D, it does have noticeable shutter lag compared to my 40D. Is that inherent in the mirrorless design, or just an indication the 40D is more powerful than the NEX-3?

The NEX-5N and 7 are a MAJOR improvement on the NEX-3/5 shutter lag. It is approaching DSLR response.
