I read one from him about two years ago...on another lens...makes you think...why are we so paranoid...right...??? Because of resale...value...

But he was also using an a900...which is a very awesome camera too...!!! Not that I am bias or anything...

I've had more problems with dust on the rear lens than the front lens. I concur that a smudge or two is not going to adversely affect the final image. Least wise not so much that a little post processing can't fix.
