Talk about fast delivery

Yesterday (Monday) i ordered the Dell ultrasharp 20" LCD 2005FPW at about 3:30 PM

I get a ship notice fromdell it shipped this morning.

I check the tracking number at 10:00 AM and it shows it was delivered @ 9:08 am TODAY so I had to race home to verify.

what do you know the new monitor is on my porch.

man this thing is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttt!!!!!

I will post some pics later, gotta get this thing set up and working

Much the same happened when I bought mine.

Put the order in at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. It shipped at 6am the next day and was at my door at 7.30am.

And I took the free shipping option...

I got the free shipping also, was supposed to be standard 3 to 5 day shipping.

but I got it in less than 24 hours from time of order to my door. Not bad for an Austin to Houston delivery. I think it went to the DHL sorting facility in Waco first, then here.

I havent had much time to mess around with it yet as I have been on the phone working all day, but it sure does look nice.

Yeah paying sales tax sux but one nice thing about ordering from Dell is the short delivery times without having to pay for expensive air shipping options.

it is always really fast if TX Dell warehouse has it...

Yeah, if it is in the warehouse we get it fast. I acutally got the shipment confirmation email after the item I ordered arrived at my house.

I'm fighting the urge to go for that LCD - trying to get a few more months out of the ol' CRT.

Yep, I had the same experience. I ordered my 2005FPW at 1:00 PM. The next day it was delivered to my office at 9:00 AM. The day after that Dell sent me an email indicating the monitor had been shipped.
