Official and up for preorder!

Hands On: Olympus OM-D E-M5 Preview: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review

Press Release: Olympus announces OM-D E-M5 weather-sealed Micro Four Thirds camera: Digital Photography Review

The design makes it look huge but it is the size of Panny's G3.

The optional 2 part grip is kind of cool.

Kirk Tuck did a pretty good writeup. And the thing that is really making ME rejoice about that is at the end where he mentions there being a "regular" 4:3 in the works. I don't want to have to buy all new lenses!

The Visual Science Lab / Kirk Tuck: Olympus Fans Rejoice !!! The OM-D is real. And it might be awesome.

The Online Photographer: New Olympus E-M5 (OM-D): First Look

I agree with Abel... the screen looks nice... but it is kind of ugly... I would not want that to be around my neck or on my shoulder :)

I really like the way it looks. If I had money laying around I'd buy one for sure.

Live bulb mode sounds awesome! From DPReview:
Quote:
The camera's clever 'Live Bulb/Live Time' modes give a preview of how the image will look during long exposure photography. In these modes, the display on the back of the camera (not the EVF) is updated up to 25 times at pre-decided intervals. In Live Bulb mode, the screen will update however often you've specified (every 0.5 sec, for example), and the exposure will continue for as long as you hold down the shutter button. Live Time is much the same but with the exposure starting with one button press and stopping with a second (allowing use with a remote release), again with a preview of how the exposure is coming along.

As someone who's spent countless cold hours standing around trying to judge long-exposure results, this sounds like a genuinely useful, if somewhat niche, feature.

I kind of like the retro look of it.
For my money it has just about everything I would want in M43 camera. I might go for one after I have seen more reviews of the production camera.
