We mentioned not long ago that Nikon would be announcing something in Hong Kong, and we all hoped that it would be the long-awaited successor to the ageing D700. Thankfully it didn't turn out to be a red herring and we got what we expected. In fact we got twice the excitement as they announced two D800 cameras. Although in fairness, the D800E is essentially a D800 without an anti-aliasing filter. This will make your shots sharper but may be more prone to moire effects. The thing: you pay more for it. It's a bit like one of those sports cars where they have the "Leggera" option, where they basically take out the CD player, furnishings and carpets to make it lighter but quicker. You pay more for less. 10% more in fact.

Sweet ... Digital Rev is already doing their usual review of the new Nikons.

I will have to read on it later. ... I figure a video will happen soon, since Kai is a Nikon Fan boy. lol

After seeing the specs I dont see much difference other than the 36MP(WOW!)ISO rating, FPS, and the shutter life of the D4. I was debating on which one but the 36MP is overkill for my needs.
