Any suggestions on sony shutter triggers?????? - 02-15-2012, 09:40 AM

I have been wanting to get one of these for a long time but now that I'm looking I am not finding exactly what I want. I sawa wireless controller but it appears to only fire off the shutter for a regular burst or with a 2 second delay. What I really want is one that I can program for a long exposure (like 20-30 minutes).

Any suggestions? Trying not to break the bank either. Wireless preferred but I would be willing to use a cord if it works better.

The Minolta corded ones pop up a lot. They will work on the Sony's as well, as is what I use for corded. It has a locking feature that will keep it open. For interval stuff there are a few Chinese ones that are basically knockoffs of the Nikon or Canon ones. I forget which model mine is. I'll try and find it.

Mine looks like this one: Opteka Timer Intervalometer Time Lapse Remote Control for Sony Alpha A A33 A55 | eBay

Those Phottix flash triggers double as a remote shutter, but it will only fire your camera for whatever shutter speed you have set.

Looks like corded will have to be the way to go.

I use the same wired one Keith and Tony have suggested. They are the same one under a different name.
