See Luma Labs’ promo vid for this strap or better yet, if you have one, let us know how it performs.

That looks freakin cool. If it's not too expensive, I could see obtaining one of those.

Having a 2nd gen luma strap, I might consider this because the dongle version does let the camera wave around.

One has to wonder if they patented this and if BR will think of the same thing and then get a cease and desist letter from Luma.

Nice concept and one that hooks up with the normal attachment method used by other straps. Seems safer too for your equipment.

However a price of $70 is stretching it.

That's what I wanted to say. Really? $70?

Seems like a decent price when you consider how much your gear costs. Black Rapids are $60 new and it's less function (unless you want to carry two).

I don't think most carry camera's long enough to justify a strap but everytime I use my strap I'm glad I bought it. It just makes life easier.

I've been using another strap, similar, but for me it takes away the tripod screw mount.
I't a nuisance to keep taking off the strap to mount the tripod plate. I'd like for someone
to come up with a strap that will sling the camera using the normal camera strap loops.

Is there such an animal out there?

I've seen the sling straps for between 80-100, so I don't think the 70 is that bad.

Definitely a neat idea. I was also thinking, hasn't some one done that. But when they introduced the easy adjustment tab, that one little thing just made it world's easier. Less fiddling with the strap.

The original Luma strap uses a looped lanyard. So I attach it to my normal strap loop on the camera.

I have a black rapid but it does connect to the bottom of my quick release plate and it IS a pain to keep changing it. However, the weight of my camera is off my neck and that factor alone makes a sling strap worth the price.
