lexar pro 80x
sandisk ultra II

No experience with pny...it would probaly be fine for knocking around or a backup if you were in a crunch but wouldnt rely on it as your main memory.

Hey Huck,

I was out today and picked up a couple of those PNY cards and tried them out in my 10D when I got home. They seem to write just as fast as any of my other cards.

I'll tell you this though. There's supposed to be a 1 card limit, so don't be surprised if you have to write two checks, or take cash, like I should have done. :D

Sandisk has to be the most popular choice among others, reliability and speed.

i'm an exclusive Sandisk shooter at this point.

i've had a Transcend CF card and Lexar CF card fail on me. the Transcend card failed pretty much right out of the box and Transcend would not replace it (the fine print in their warranty statement gave them that perrogative). the Lexar card occassionally gets corrupted with my Canon G2, so i quit using it. i can always reformat the Lexar card with my PC using a card reader, but it would eventually get corrupted again sometime later.

i have had no Sandisk failures yet - been shooting Sandisk CF cards (regular Sandisk, Ultra's, and Ultra II's) for quite some time as well as Sandisk SD cards.

I haven't noticed anyone that's purchased a Delkin, but I highly recommend them. I sent one through the wash and it came out just fine. I also use Lexar (4GB/1GB 80X), but have found the delkins to be just as good. I use the 2GB version.

In camera, true, but when you are trying to dump cards quickly, nothing beats transferring a 1GB Sandisk Extreme III in a little over a min on a CardBus32 or Firewire reader...

5 Sandisk 1 GB Ultra IIs so far... rock solid! but looking at all the specials on Extreme IIIs. with falling prices (8GB cards are out), might pick up some 4GB ones - seen them for already for ~$200.

1GB cards are becoming too much hassle lately... shot tennis match yesterday - these suckers fill up way too fast

cheers!

I use the Lexar Pro 80x, and shoot with the Canon 1DMarkII, and have never had a problem, even while shooting 8.5 frames per second (don't do it often enough).

I also have several Transend CF Cards, and have never had a problem with them either.

Take Care,

Jeff
