I'm viewing this thread on my new one! And like you, I just ordered him a brother. :)

Daniel, I think maybe you should get a bigger desk?

Daniel,

What's the difference between the Dell 2001FP and the 2005FPW 20" monitors? Just a little wider aspect on the 2005? I bought the 2001FP in Feb. and love it.

Thanks for the info!

Damn you Daniel!

That 24" sure looks sweet. I bought my wife the 20" in the fall and I have been hoping my 21" CRT would die so I could get the 24".

I'm attaching some specs on all three monitors.

Keep in mind the two above are the 2405FPW and the 2001FP

Here is a pic of the 2005FPW compared to the 2001FP

Jim all you have to do is adopt me. You & the wife can play on the soon to be dual 24 wides. And of course I'll have to play with those lenses

Wish I had updated my drivers. Computer has been in the shop since Monday and I just got it back. They updated the drivers so now I can use DVI. For some reason the power supply got messed up (might of just been a coincidence) got that replaced and all my USB ports work now too. Monitor looks great, will take a little getting used to. My old one wasn't anywhere near this bright. I need to find a graveyard for old monitors. Not on a dual setup. This one is big enough for me.

Woohoo! Mine came today. Now I just have to figure out how to properly calibrate it. Looks FANTASTIC so far!!! I was really worried that the quality wouldn't be up to par with CRT's, but I have to say I am impressed.
