Memory Card Issue - 04-03-2006, 09:29 AM

Sandisk 1G ... original series

I had a card after 80 pictures go write protect on me in the camera. I have never had this happen and when I got home I was able to pull the images off of it. I can read from it, but not write to it. Any idea how to reverse this issue?

No I have not had this happen to me, but I know some cards can be locked maybe this is what happened? Check the sides of the card for a small switch, not sure if compact flash cards can be locked or not, I know some of the others can.

Yeah... I looked the card over and I do not see any type of mechanical pieces on the card... really weird

I had this happen with a Sandisk 1g card. I put it in a card reader and used windows to format the card. I had to do this a couple of times to get evrything off of the card. I was then able to put it in the camera and format it in the camera and it has worked with out any problems for about a year now. worth a try.
