Problems with Sigma 70-200 2.8 DG APO HSM for Nikon - 05-04-2006, 09:58 AM

Grrrr. This lense is starting to upset me. First, I have to have it rechipped to work with the D200, now I'm having connection problems with it. When I'm shooting, about 1/3 of my shots do not register the set aperature and the lense, so the camera for some reason defaults to f7. I checked the connections, and it seems like the mount is quite a bit looser than any of my other lenses.

I know I need to send the lense in to Sigma, but does anyone know what they will do with it? Also, is there any temporary fix for a problem like this? I really need this lense this weekend.
Thanks!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

I have the same lens but only noticed some occassional slow focusing, but nothing like you've experienced....I'm sure you'll get a response after some of the other users get off work....
