Pppbbbffff.. you kidding? There's already speculation and rumors about the 4D and also the 50D

Seriously, I think the 3D has been a rumor for a long time now. It seems to crop up in the weeks proceeding any official announcments. However, I'm totally in the dark this go-around. I've not heard anything about a 3D until that post

Packing an amazing 13.3MP into an APS-H sized sensor
What does this mean and how does it compare to the 5D-20D-30D?

Does an APS-H sensor have the 1.6 crop factor that turns my 17mm lens into a 28mm lens? Grrrrrrrrrrr!

3D?????

It has been produced...but is called the 5D

1 Series is always Pro series
3&5 series are the notch just below Pro, but above Prosumer
10 Series (D30, D60, 10D, 20D 30D) - Prosumer
Rebel - standard consumer class.

• the DIGIC III provides even greater DR, more accurate colour rendition improved WB and lower noise

• new evaluative algorithm allows more accurate metering in extreme lighting and can even correctly expose subjects like snow

• viewfinder shows an impressive 98% of the scene both horizontally and vertically

This sounds like somebody's fantasy wish-list. Seriously, that's one hell of a photo-machine if it's true.

p.s. the "APS-H" sized sensor refers to the current 1.3x crop sensor of the 1d (original and Mark II).

Those specs are Pixel Perfect's noctural emission from over on the FM Canon board and very bogus but has as so much on the net of a million lies taken on a life apart from reality.

Well I plan to support Leica's R&D for a change. But may buy into the used Canon market if the 1DsMkII's start to drop.

i wish (and/or hope) that the 3d thing is for real. i've been set on FF for my next upgrade for a while, but i would go 1.3x easily for that...

i know we are assuming it's 'fake', but did anyone notice the 40mm f/1.2L mounted on that 3d in the link?

here's a better pic of it:

I'll wait for the new tech to trickle down to prosumer level. Hopefully the 5D replacement in the near future will be 2k or less.
