If this is digital, I voted Fuji for now.....

(I've only taken one disappointing roll of film in my Canon lately, as in years 'n years)

Canon fans don't like to vote, so statistics won't be that accurate.

I'm hoping to change my vote to Nikon soon.

Porsche: I was thinking of doing the exact opposite. Can I ask why you want to move to Nikon?

Colin,

How's that parental lobbying going? Hope they're coming around...At last check, you had to rent a D70... How'd that go?

Well I rented a D70s, a 12-24, an 18-70 and an SB-800. It was awesome, ever since then I've been dying for an SLR

I was possibly going to buy a D1x from someone, but they haven't called me back like they were supposed to. So that's a no-go.

I want a D50 with an 18-70 lens but no one has the D50 body only in stock. I think my mom might let me get it now since I said I'll buy the camera, THEN a surfboard, THEN get my car, so I planned out my expenditures, and I think she bought it. So hopefully once she is in a good mood I can seal the deal.

Was that enough Info for you? Probably just looking for a "Good."

There's nothing basically wrong with a D50, but you will probably regret not spending the extra money for a D70. In fact I have a low mileage D70 that I bought in Feb. 05 that I would probably sell you for the price of a new D50. I want another D200, but need to sell one of my D70's to make the deal work.

Because I want to move to a DSLR and their image quality is just as good but the ergonomics are so much better with Nikon, not to mention the prices are way better.

Do you have any D70s's? What are the differences between D70 & D70s?

But I can't vote for just one....it depends on what I feel like shooting with that particular day.

If I feel like shooting digital my only choice is Canon Powershot A70.

If I feel like shooting film I have to decide if I want to shoot with my dad's old Nikon F from 1966, the Canon AE-1 or if I want to take pictures without using my brain(snapshots a kids b-day party or something at school)I will use the Olympus IS 50.
