Can some knowledgable person answer this question for me?
I've got a bunch of old PC's that I'm thinking of converting one or all to Linux file-servers for my home. Can somebody tell me if the amount of memory on a fileserver makes any difference on how fast it can host files on a network - are they mutually exclusive? I've got some old boxes that have .5 G memory and some that have less (from me canibalizing previously).
Thanks for any help...
Peter
