Assume an M6 .72 from Tamarkin in NY, what would be a good 1st (and probably only considering the prices) lens for it? 50mm f/1.4 or 35mm f/1.4 (USED)?

Texas can exist without the United States, but the United States, cannot, except at great peril, exist without Texas. Sam Houston.

Take a look at what you shoot now and get the one that is closest.

The 35 f/2.0 Summicron. Get a copy of Puts book before you spend any money on a Leica lens new or used and see what their strenghts and weakness are. I like f/2.0 'Crons over the f/1.4 'Lux's be cause of the way they are yeild a 3-D image.
