Canon rebates: When?

It looks like the rebate program is going to run from 10/15/06 through 1/15/07. Its only a "Double Rebate" this time.

30D $100/$200

1D Mark II N and 1Ds Mark II: Double your lens- or flash-rebate value with items purchased with either the EOS-1D Mark II N or EOS-1Ds Mark II.

Thanks god I read this. I was going to buy 17-40L lense. I will hold on to that now.

I see the 1D's sweeten the pot if the lens is with one of them. If they are wanting to push them, this gives hope there will be a new 1D at PMA....

Does that mean the purchase has to be made after 10/15 or is that just when its expected to be announced? :)

The purchase has to be made on 10/15/06 to 1/15/07.

If you bought it locally, your vendor may post date it for you so you qualify...Not sure about mail order. I guess it depends on your relationship with the vendor. Have fun with it regardless. Great cam (5D)...
