You are welcome! I thought I was the only medium format person in the Wood-Smith county area.

I would run some film through it first. Clean the lens gently of course. I use a very good repair man in Houston for all of my cameras, old & new. I don't know where Karl's send their work. Get a firm estimate for a CLA (clean, lube & adjust) first. My guess is that it will run $100, + or -. There are several online forums for that type camera. Those folks will know who's good with that camera. The Rangefinder Forum is a good place to start. The members there know a lot about any type of camera.

The 124G is a wonderful camera. I had one for about ten years and made the mistake of selling it to buy a lens for my SLR. I've kicked myself frequently for that because they now sell in good condition for more than I paid for it. That was my work trip camera - easy to pack and carry. Enjoy!

I have the earlier version, the Yashicamat, and its a good camera.
