SD memory card question - 11-19-2006, 08:19 PM

I just ordered my D50 and I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I have a 1GB SD memory card but I was wondering if I should upgrade to one of those "high speed" cards. Has anybody here had any experience with these? I think they are supposed to reduce the lag time between shots...any advice?

Thanks

I had a D50 at one time and had just the normal memory cards. I never had a problem with them. The buffer on the D50 is good sized too and unless your taking more then like 15-20 pics at a time, shouldnt have a problem with the regular SD cards.

If you are shooting a lot of high action sports where there are no breaks in the action and the action lasts over 15 seconds at a time or the action is very of short duration but you must shoot a large number of shots in the short time then upgrade otherwise you should be fine.

Examples: football, volleyball, basketball, drag racing, boat racing, animal races.
