I am thinking about ordering an amber/yellow omnibounce, but I would like to hear from you guys first. Especially if you've used it. I have been doing a lot of night pictures, outside with xmas lights and I HATE that the skin tones will look good but the lights are yellow. Precision does not carry them.

Good. We'll have to conduct an exhaustive test next week.

Okay, fine, THIS WEEK then. I'm using that $10 for AA's, by the way, my SB 24's eat them like candy, and I think low batteries were part of my problems with the slave flash.

Excuse my ignorance. What am I missing here?

Skin tones good, lights yellow. Add amber diffuser. Now everything will be yellow? Somebody help an old geezer out.

Then you take it into the LAB color space and it doesn't matter.

Precision doesn't carry them! They said they stopped when everyone starting shooting digital. Which I think is very silly, but whatever. I wanted to get the Cloud anyway, so this was my excuse. I have a regular diffuser on my flash, but it's a 580 and sideways on vertical shots. I also looked at brackets, and ehhh! I don't want one.

Oops, I misread your post. Then WB to tungsten and adjust if necessary. That's the plan.

OH, ok. Or shoot Fuji 800 film. It handles mixed light very well.

Good luck! Show us the pictures!

Am I wrong, or did you wait a whole 43 minutes before getting impatient?

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

This isn't the original, I left their faces a little warmer in that one but I wanted to show you an extreme example.

Nope, you're right. I was thinking the whole time about the amber omnibounce and then just decided to go ahead and get the other setup. And that took about 43 minutes. I am very impatient, about certain things. :)
