Pentax 6x7 with 45, 105 & 150 lenses.

After the success of the New Year's Eve dinner for eight, the new kitchen was the best purchase of 2006.

After decades of wandering all over the photographic equipment spectrum, I finally got a Leica.

My best photographic purchase? Film to run through my neglected equipment. Ending the Dark Ages has been fun.

Our best purchases were a D2X with a 400mm f/2.8 for myself and upgraded the wife to a D2Xs with a 200-400mm f/4.0.

I spent a lot on equipment this year (really got my business going). Best purchases:

Second body (30D), 70-200 f/2.8 IS, Think Tank Airport Security to lug all of the gear around at weddings.

I'm hoping my 30D will be. I received it from National Camera Exchange on Dec. 22 for $905.00 shipped. It was a factory reconditioned unit with a 1 year warranty. I've used it once in real job on Sunday.

I also purchased a Tokina 12-24 and a Tamron 17-50 2.8 in 2006.

Same here. The 30D gets my vote. Since the 30D meet expections I replaced everything in my camera bag including the bag.

My 1D was my best purchase. It was paid off with just 2 weekends of work. And in two more weeks it will have helped pay off all my other equipment. Then it's time to save for a newer camera.
