Hi Everyone,

Once again, thanks for all your helpful feedback which lead to the recent purchase of the Canon 20D. I ended up getting the Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens and should get the 28-90mm USM lens by this Wednesday. Now all I need to do is figure out how to make my existing Sigma flash work with it. But first things first. I had my first photo shoot with the new camera on Sunday and I'm VERY impressed with the quality of the photos. I will, however, need to get used to the 9-point focusing system.. that was different but I learn quickly.

great camera, you'll love it. cant really say the same about the lenses. did you look on fred miranda before buying them?

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM -- 6.6
Canon EF 28-90mm f/4-5.6 II USM -- 4.0

pretty low imho.

... or at least until the followup model comes out. Not thinking that they will go with 30D however.

Have to agree Ron... great camera but to really get the most out of it I think you'll want to reconsider the lens choices. Just IMHO but remember the camera is just the start. Have fun !

Thanks everybody! - 05-22-2005, 12:51 PM

Thanks for making me feel so welcome everyone. I'm LOVING this new camera and look forward to many years of excellent photos. I understand completely what you meant about my choice of lenses but that's the best I could do with a very limited budget. I hope to upgrade later as I get more paying shoots. Thanks again.

Ron
