Memory cards - 01-17-2007, 07:26 PM

Ok so I have a problem, I purchased 2 Sandisk Ultra 2's 2 gig cards from costco the weekend of thanksgiving. I just now got around to using them and every image on the cards is corrupt. I formatted the cards when 1st used and have done so a few times and this keeps happening. Each image has purple, green, and other color bars/stripes across the image.

Has anybody ever had this problem with these cards? I also have a handful of the same card but in one gigs and haven't had a problem with them.

Please help!

formatting in camera ?
other cards giving a problem or are they ok ?
Costco will take them back or exchange them. Show them the problem and get them to open the replacements and give them a try.

Yes I am formatting in camera, and no, these are the only two cards that have been a problem

I have an Ultra II 1G that worked fine in my D70 and now in my D200. I also use the Extreme III 2GB in Nikon bodies. At the moment I'm favoring the Ridata Pro 150x cards in 2GB size available at NewEgg.com for $33 each. I've got three of them that are very fast.

if it doesn't happen on other cards, and the new ones have been formatted, the problem is definitely the cards. return them.
