Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be thrilled with your purchase. I'd love to get the 20D, but I told myself a while back that my photographic skills should outgrow my rebel before I even think about upgrading. So, I'm thinking it's gonna be a while before I step up...

oh well, i'll keep shooting...

very cool, I just jumped on those batteries cause i mean.. canons 70 dollars... these 9.95.. they work, I wonder why canons are so expensive

Anyways my school newspaper/yearbook will be very happy I got a 10D, now other people can use the schools 300D for stuff(basically i am the only one who ever uses it). Though every now and then I might borrow it so I can have two bodies at a football or volleyball game

Oh yea, I have 1.5 GBs of CF cards.. I bought them when the school got the 300D so I didnt have to be stuck with their 128Mb at a volleyball game. I will probably buy another 1Gig when the price drops again

Let me know how you like the new batteries.
I have a friend with a 10D and a 20D, and he uses nothing but third party batteries and has only had one fail him (he has about 8, but does alot of shooting).

Sams is selling Lexar CF 1 Gig cards for about $75, but they aren't the "fast" ones (only 600kb/s)
512MB are about $45 there also (same brand & speed)

Saw this in your sig "35-80(sellin soon), 75-300(Sellin soon)"

Why are you selling them?
And how much will you be asking?
(I'm interested, as I only have a 18-55 for the 20D)

hey brian, a good inexpensive lens you may want to look into is a Canon 50mm f1.8 its very fast and very inexpensive!

it was my first lens and you can get them for lik 65-75 online... last i checked though they were pretty hard to find....

in fact, if youre interested i can sell you mine. i have a 50mm f1.4 i use instead... so i havent touched my f1.8 since like july.

I've been actually looking at the 50/1.8 and 50/1.4 to get! I need something for low light shots, and that would be great.

If swanny don't want it, I'll take it! (Heck, I'd love to get it this week - I promised someone I would take some shots of a kids candlelight church service, and that would be useful!)
