Thanks. We spent 4 days in Grand Teton and 3 in Yellowstone.

I agree with Howard. Depends on how much Photoshop work you are comfortable with. I find with my 5D I can usually use just one RAW file and process twice.

Also, keep in mind that if there is any wind at all then you'll have no shot at combining multiple exposures if you have any foliage in the frame.

If you are shooting wildlife you might want to invest in a good flash and flash extender, it will solve a lot of the harsh lighting/shadow problems.

Make sure that what ever adapter you buy doesn't cause light fall off around the edges with wide lenses. As others have mentioned, a polarizer will benefit the wonderful western sky & clouds. Multiple exposures can overcome the need for graduated ND filters. However, you need to be very careful with the software solution if you want to keep your images looking real and natural.

Enjoy the Tetons. Get up early, stay up late. Take a siesta in the middle.

Here is a great tutorial on combining multiple exposures:
http://www.radiantvista.com/video_tutorials/

It's on the 3rd or 4th page in that section. It is better than most in that he tells you how to do a levels adjustment on the mask - most tutorials leave that step out.
