Not to turn this into a love fest for B&H :-), but I have to chime in on the + side. Over the last 20 years I've probably spent over $100K with B&H. I've had problems three or four times (once an $8 package of cotton gloves was missing :-).

I once had to call when I placed a large order, and it got put on a "provide identity" hold, which my wife neglected to tell me until they were almost closed. I called, got the documents together they wanted, scanned and emailed them, and the CSR made sure someone stayed late to get my order out that day.

I have nothing but good things to say about B&H. They are the standard I judge all other on-line photo stores by.

Thanks Henry, you all do a good job...

B&H will never get another dime from me. Their CSRs are horrible at best, I guess other people have better luck than me. I've been ordering all my stuff from Adorama, great service there and very knowledgable staff/CSRs.

Now only if I can figure out how to unsubscribe from B&H newsletter. edited by ndsimm...unecessary languagenever unsubscribe me even after I: 1) Canceled my account. 2) Unsubscribed online. 3) Personally emailed them to remove me.

I have nothing but good things to say about B & H. I have made 10 orders since 2002 and have never even had to talk to customer service. I ordered online each time and got everything I ordered with no problems. The only hitch I have had was one incident with UPS where I was expecting a delivery and they always come to my neighborhood around 5 PM. I rushed home that day to be there by 4:30 and found a note on the door that they tried to deliver my lens at 2 PM. It wasn't that bad since I work down from the UPS facility at DFW Airport, so I picked it up there.

I understand what holidays they are and I have no problem with ANYONES religion. I just think it is not good customer service when your religion dictates the schedule your business keeps. It is my opinion. I am open certain religious holidays I would rather be off...however, those are the days my clients find it easiest to use my service, therefore I am open.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM B&H AGAIN!
So I assume the first $5k went well, else you wouldn't have kept spending? Then you flame them over a $40 order a month after the purchase (according to Henry)?

Oh well. Sorry you had a bad day.

The previous 2 orders went okay. I did not open the paper until 3 weeks after I rec'd it. I contacted B&H as soon as possible to discuss the issue. I flamed them based on the CSR's response to my issue. Henry did issue a $25 credit and I appreciate that.

I apologize if it offended you or anyone else. It was probably not necessary, but it did describe them precisely in my case. They became spammers when they provided an opt-out option but didn't do anything about it and I hate spammers with a passion

Since B&H is not a sponsor of our community, the best way to handle these types of situations is through your own contact information that you have on file/in store to remedy the situation directly with the customer. I know this may sound rather harsh but I say this to be remain fair and just to those dedicated sponsors that stand behind our great community.
