This Nikon Err message means one of two things...
1. The film has not caught on the the gears corrctly, thus the camera does not register the film as being loaded.
2. The camera body does not recognize the lens or lens settings. This also has two parts also. (A) The aperture ring is not set at the highest number in automatic mode. There should be a lock switch on the lens that when set to lock your camera will set the apreture automatically. (B) Your lens is not an AI lens, thus the camera will not recognize any of the auto feature.
In in Digital relm for the Nikon cameras the same is true for the lens but the Err message could mean either the camera does not recognize you medie card or your flash.
1. Media Cards - Reformat the card within the camera, also DO NOT USE CHEAP CARDS.
2. Nikon is very particular about the use of THEIR flashes with THEIR cameras. My Sunpak flash will work fully on my N80 but it will not work in any TTL modes on the D70s. (It's a conspiracy)
Good Luck, |
