What is the preferred adhesive to use for re-attaching loose leather on vintage cameras?

Anybody have experience with this?

Have you tried contact cement? I have a Minolta XD11 film camera that I repaired about 8 yrs ago and it is still holding. I have not had a recurring issue. Now the rubber on a Nikon is another story.

3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive spray

Keeps the rubber panels on my Nikons

It is MESSY so be very carefull and mask appropriately

Join Rangefinder Forum. There's more info. there about recovering cameras than you need to know. There are folks selling pre-cut covering kits for a wide range of cameras. There are folks who will take your old camera & give it a CLA and new covering for reasonable prices.
