Have you tried contact cement? I have a Minolta XD11 film camera that I repaired about 8 yrs ago and it is still holding. I have not had a recurring issue. Now the rubber on a Nikon is another story. 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive spray Keeps the rubber panels on my Nikons It is MESSY so be very carefull and mask appropriately |

Join Rangefinder Forum. There's more info. there about recovering cameras than you need to know. There are folks selling pre-cut covering kits for a wide range of cameras.
