CS3 vs CS2 - 09-11-2007, 06:53 PM

ok so remember I mentioned my computer kept shutting off on it's own.. well after hubby changing the power supply and trying a few more things it was decided time to use my new computer that I got in March and hasn't been used LOL.. so he put my harddrives in it.. well all my programs had to and still have some to reinstall well hubby thought why not get me the CS3... so far I am hating it.. I mean I have only played with it today but my pictures look funky... I still need imagenomic and a few actions there but still...
Do you all have the newer version and like it? is it just something I need to get used to it and better? or shuld I get him to get me the CS2 back on it again?

I'd say give it more time. After I got all my actions and plugins installed I really liked it. As for the looks of the pics, make sure your color profile settings are set in CS3 like they were in CS2. Oh, if it's a different computer, and hence, a different graphics card, then that would cause differences also.

CS2 and CS3 images should not look different. Did you have CS2 on THIS computer? If not you may not be comparing apples with apples. Like Jim said, the two computers graphics may be handling the colors differently, even on the same monitor. You might try playing with the PS calibration abilities if you don't have hardware to calibrate the monitor to the new machine.
Just a thought!!!
