setting up a garage studio?

I have a two car garage that I can have at least half of to set up some sort of photography studio in. Looking for any ideas. Sky's the limit. Literally, I would even consider a sky light and raising the ceiling to get some room height. It's already got climate control but that's about it. Any suggestions? What's can I do in such a small space? Anything? Hope some of you have been there and done this. Arlon

depends.. what kind of studio are you going for? a versatile one that opens up opportunity for many different types of sets or do you want to build one set and let that be that?

Post some pictures of the space to give us a feel for it. How high is the ceiling? How large is the space? What do you plan to photograph?

Garage is about a 20ft sq with 8ft ceiling and climate controlled with the house. I can only occupy about half of it full time.

Right now I have only taken pictures of inanimate objects but it would be fun to try some people pictures too. Frankly I'm getting bored with macro but don't have time to head for real scenery every weekend. Something pretty versitile would be fun. I'm a do-it yourselfer, not a throw money at person.

It looks like Jeremy uses one very large softbox directly above the camera, a strip light hair light, and a grid spot for background light on most of his work. Kevyn's lighting looks like a garage with the door open and using only the light coming in from there.
