Found good case for Epson storage viewer - 09-22-2007, 10:13 AM

I have an Epson P3000 photo storage/viewer unit. The neoprene case that comes with it does not offer much protection - if is more of a dust cover than anything else. I was in the store the other day and saw that Case Logic makes a zippered case for 2.5 inch portable harddrives that is somewhat rigid. It is Case Logic #63-2400496 with inside dimensions of 6x3.78x1.34 from the package. These dimensions fit the Epson P3000 perfectly. I bought mine at Best Buy for $19. I saw them in CompUSA also. They are in the portable harddrive section of the stores. Outside dimensions are 6-5/8 x 4-5/8 x 1-7/8. Other storage viewers would probably fit. It has an elastic band on one side and a elastic/mesh "pouch" on the other side that would be used to hold the USB cable for a traditional portable harddrive. The Epson unit fills the case so not much room left for cables. That is okay for me as I carry my cables in my laptop or another bag.

Here's a link to the Case Logic product page.

Thanks Larry. I have an Epson that I travel with too and had wanted a more secure case for it. I'll check these out.
