Canon Fall 07 Rebates Announced

This went out in an email from Roberts. Unfortunately, no double or triple rebates and no camera bodies.

Those are for Canon Canada - $700 off a 5d kit would be sweet though...

I noticed that B&H had the price of a 5d (body only) for $2199. I thought I checked a week ago and it was at 2399. So either my memory is bad, or the price has come down again.

So how do we know what retailers will be giving the discounts on these?

There are 3 items on there that I have been contemplating getting next month - and if I can save a couple hundred bucks.. then I will be happy!

Yeah prices are coming down. Since there are no rebates for any bodies, I am just going to wait for the 5d mkii

No you're right the price has been steadily dropping. Probably explains why there aren't any 5d rebates, though there's one if you're willing to buy a printer also.

I looked at that rebate, and for $19 net, you can get a PIXMA 9000 thrown in. If you need a printer that sounds like a helluva deal.

Ok -- I think I need some sleep or something -- 20 minutes ago, I pulled up the B&H wish list and the 5d was 2199.......Now it is showing 2299. WTF????

Well they better hurry, because the rebates are showing up on other sites:

Note that these are INSTANT rebates and not mail in. By the way, BH has updated their prices. For example, the 580ex2 is now $359, after $50 rebate.

I have also notice several sites increasing their prices on certain lenses, I had been looking at, before the rebates came out. It was the same thing last time. They increased their prices $40 so you only get $60 off a $100 rebate.
