Which Digital SLR is a good Starter Camera - 11-10-2007, 04:09 PM

I am looing at getting a digital SLR camera. I have been researching several online and pretty much narrowed it down to the Nikon D40X or the D80X. I am not interested in Canon products.
I would appreciate any feedback and recommendations!

If you can, get the D80x. Or, since D300 is around the corner, look for a used D200 which you can get for less than D80x.

Check out the Buy & Sell section in the forum here.

I have the D70s and the D200 and love them. Depending on your budget/cost tolerance...the price on a used D200 may be hard to pass up. I felt a little cramped on the D70s for the features and limitations. I still have a lot of room to grow into the D200.
