Hey guys,

I need a mat cutter and I'm wondering if you guys could recommend one that isn't too expensive and that is fairly sturdy.

Thanks!

I have the 40 inch and love it. great people to work with too. I can give you Wayne's contact info and he is more then willing to work with you.

the cutters are better built than fletcher and come with more extras too. I believe I got mine for under 900 with shipping. but that was a few years back.

if you are looking for cheap you should really think about getting a pro cutter. I made the money back on the investment after the second show I did.

I really just need it to make some photos for my house and for my friends. I doubt I would be willing to invest 900 dollars in it.

I see you live in Austin. You should stop by Jerry's Artarama at 290 and I35. They have some mat cutters that you can put your hands on for about $80.
If you are absolutely sure that you want to do only a few mats, they can do them for you at a reasonable price. The guy who does their framing is very good with mats. Pick his brain while you are there.
