im new here in texas,,,

and i need to find a duck-pond, close to crowley, so i can try out the 100-400 when it arives, anybody know of any photogenic ducks close by to me??

they need to drive faster,,,

Try some city parks. These ducks are trained to come for food and won't be so skiddish.

If you know where French Lake is in Southwest Fort Worth, there's almost always some kind of duck, geese
or birds to shoot. It's relatively close to Crowley.

Also Foster's Park off Trail Lake and Granbury Rd has a lot of ducks and geese.

True. Here's some young ones from last August taken at that park. And I used a 70-200mm with 1.4TC. The 1.4TC is the pro model made by Tamron. Lens was mounted on a 20D.

Look for subdivisions with ponds. My daughter lived in one like that in Columbus, OH. There were ducks and geese around it until it froze solid in the winter.

weve got three ponds on our road,(and our road looks like an old river-bed,,,bumpy dirt)
and i havnt seen duck one, since oct,
