If I'm remembering right, what Ed Pierce was doing in one case was using a building as the key light and bouncing light from it off a diffuser panel to help eliminate shadows. He also had an assistant behind the subject bounce light onto a diffuser panel in front of the subject to light her up. It was neat stuff but I'd be interested in a resource that would teach more technique for newbies.

I plan to buy a 5-in-1 reflector set and experiment, but I don't want to have to reinvent the wheel.

Reflector set I decided on - 03-05-2008, 11:00 AM

Was wondering the same thing last year. I ended up getting a 5 in 1 with a stand and case off EBAY for around $40 with shipping. I think this is the same set (below). Since I don't have a third arm either, I thought this was the way to go for me. Everything apears well make and the auction price was less than purchasing directly from Amvrona (comes from same place). I have only used it once since surgery to leg has kept in my chair a lot the last year.
