universal mount for targus tripod - 04-06-2008, 01:03 PM

Ok so somehow in the move from our rental house to my apartment I managed to lose the universal mount part off my tripod. Cant find it anywhere I think it has ended up going with husband to Nebraska. Anyone know where I can find just the universal mount for the tripod? I tried looking at Radioshack where I know he bought the tripod itself but no luck.

I mean this as nicely as possible: Save yourself future heartache and trash / convert the Targus.

Really, when you continue to use it, and then your gear gets heavier...CRASH!

A Bogen setup isn't too bad.

If not, try getting the model number and hitting up google or eBay.

On the other hand: I buy old and cheap tripods that have lost the plates, and I file down the head, so it's a flat surface, drill a hole and use a thumb screw to attach a flash, or in this case you could buy a quick-release plate and platform.

I understand the gift thing then, I have a lens that I can't find myself getting rid of even if it's a piece of junk.

Congrats on finding the plate!
