I would be very wary about using that. If you whip that thing out with a 70-200 f/2.8 or 100-400 on it in public, you will most certainly be surrounded by 15 policement in minutes. Somone 50 yards from you sees you aim that at them, they will hit the ground for cover.

I was thinking the same exact thing and it is such a sad thought that the thought even came to my mind.
