Rollei P11 Slide Projector advice - 05-27-2008, 03:26 PM

I just acquired a Rollei P11 slide projector (does both 6x6 and 35mm). I'm wondering if anybody has experience with these and can give me some pointers on how to use it and what to avoid doing. For instance, I've heard that these can jam easily.

Also, I'm on the look out for some medium format slide magazines for it since it didn't come with any.

I'd sure appreciate any advice/leads you can provide.

Rollei projector P11 - 01-11-2012, 06:19 AM

I know I'm referring to an very old question about the Rollei slide projector P11. I can give you some answers and I also have a lot of medium slide magazines (qty of slides per magazine 50), but I have to know your question is still valid and you are interested ?

First of all the Rollei projector P11 is very good engineered and if there is anything to repair it's easy to disassemble, as of my experience. To prevent you of jamming slides during projection, do NEVER use THIN slides. The recommended thickness of the slides is 3 mm (0.118 INCH) not less ! If unfortunately a thin slide has been jammed inside the projection area, then remove the black magazine lead on the right site (for projection of 24x36 size) of the projector together with the complete magazine. All sounds very difficult, but it is not, if you know how to handle. With older projectors it can happen the transport of the magazine is going slow or will stop at all, the coupling wheel must be cleaned. If you have more specific questions please tell me and as I told you, I've plenty of slides (6x6 and 24x36) filled with one time used slides and also unused slides (6x6) in a plastic refill box.
