D2x etc. Question - 05-29-2008, 04:01 PM

Ok,
have a D300 and bought missus D200 (which can use for backup).
But have been offered a nice D2x (which would mean have two "dedicated" bodies of my own). Offer is $1,200.
Should I (with gear I have in your opinions) consider the D2x, get myself a D200 or even get another D300?

Get another D300. You'll have a warranty and have matching performance.

Depending on what "nice" means, that's a pretty good price. I paid $1450 for mine a month ago but it had fewer than 3K actuations on it and it came with an extra battery.

This still not bad for a pro camera, which technically, the D300 is not. If you have the extra funds, I would agree to get another D300. I did not which is why I chose the D2X and there was no learning curve.
