Ok so im coming into some unexpected money and well i thought my b-day is around the corner why not make me happy lol. So im looking at adding a number of different things and could use a little help since well im still new to all of this. Currently i own a Sony A100 with the following lens, 18-250 f/3.5-6.3, 50 f/1.4, 500 f/8 with the 36am flash.
Right now i don't shoot any one thing and infact im hoping to with this extra money help me to get some things that i can use to help me do more things. I plan to add some new lens, the 135mm 1.4 (carl Zeiss lens) the 70-200 f/2.8 Gseries, 3G Lensbaby, also looking into either the 50 2.8 Macro or the 28 2.8 Wide Angle and a 1.4X. I figure with what i currently have and the addition of these lens i should be able to cover myself in any situation of shooting, i might even drop the 500 from my bag and pick up a 24-70mm f2.8. I heard the 2470 2.8 is a great portrait lens to have but this is where my experience fades and where i need the help.
Would i really need the 24-70 is i already have a 50 f/1.4 or if i add the 28 2.8 wide? I know that a lot of people use the 70-200 2.8 as well as the 135 1.4 for portraits so would spending the money on a 24-70 or should i roll that into some type of flash system? I hope to get some lighting as well but im lost on that stuff as i have never used it before. The current flash i have now isn't that great but it gets the job done for now. but i feel i really need to be looking into better equipment, so could use help with that. So if you can think of anything that i could or should look into getting then please let me know, even if i can't get it now i would like to start putting together a list to be able to slowly add the stuff later.
Like i said little new to all of this and i want to get the right equipment so that i can start to learn how to shoot many different style. Since im new i don't know which style i will be best at or which one i will enjoy shooting more. I just know that i can't move towards doing it full time if i don't invest in the right gear. So anything you can add or suggest that might help me or that i can learn from im all ears and eyes. Thanks a bunch i know this question sort of has been asked in many different ways before but i couldn't find one that was close to what i was looking for specifily.
