Good thing he came out with this new iGizmo in time for all of the original iPhone batteries to go bad.
Jobs is not to blame here. We are all responsible for our own decisions including folks who think they have to have the latest and greatest.

Once again, all the grumblers come out of the woodwork. LOL

Not a chance. Blackberry is the corporate standard. Companies all over the world have expensive installations of Blackberry Enterprise Server...they won't give that up for anything with the Apple name on it.

That's the point though, BES server is expensive. The people I freelance for are pushing to get rid of their BES server and move all their users to ActiveSync devices just for that reason.

Activesync is yuck IMHO. Especially if you need to get something immediately...
I suppose you could setup your ActiveSync to check every 1 min or so.. but that would seem to degrade the battery life a lot. Perhaps not, but in my old Treo it was a deal killer.

Interesting gadget though for sure.

Yeah, I will be interested to see how well it works before dumping my Blackberry. I also had bad luck with it and everything else on the Treo.

Yeah, I think the price increase stinks but it's still cheaper than the Blackberry Enterprise plan.

see, I just don't use the edge network. Generally if I'm surfing the net its on my laptop and not on the tiny little screen on my iphone.

So although the GPS would be nice, everything else that is interesting will be in the software upgrade. So I figure once the battery in mine goes, then I'll upgrade, but for now, don't particularly care ;)

Besides, by the time I upgrade version 3 will be out ;). Goes with my current upgrade path on everything - every other one.

I use my phone to have wireless internet on my laptop via bluetooth when I am not near wi-fi...this is where the speed increase is significantly beneficial. Then again, I could just get a T-Mobile or Verizon card...but I don't want to pay twice.

See, I'd pay twice, but then, I'm usually away on location doing horse shows with my phone with me but my laptop with my husband (who can do it via bluetooth with his phone anyway) on the other side of the arena lol

But each to his own I guess. I'd do it - IF I could currently justify the added data (we're already with ATT) cost, but since the car accident, I'm more concerned if I have enough to pay my car payments and such since I may have to stop working.

I understand the speed difference and that’s a bit exaggerated. But $10 more per month? For web surfing on the Phone???

Exactly....$120 extra a year to surf the web on a 3" x 2" screen?
