OK I think I am going to buy a 24-105 IS. What are the best prices you have seen from reputable dealers. Trying to find a good deal so the wife doesn't leave me. Or if anyone has one they would what to just give me???!?!?!

I picked one up from B&H's used department for around $925. It had been a demo unit and refurbished by Canon. It is just like brand new but probably better since it got special attention during the refurb process.

Adorama and B&H are $1,059.00 new or used / refurb for $900.

Ebay is running just over $900.

Yeah I bought one last week from B&H and I paid 1,103(brand new) and some cents out the door with Next Day Air. Otherwise, there is no tax on it, an it would be 1,059 not including whatever shipping speed you prefer.

Good decision, I love my lens more and more every time I use it. Don't look back :)

That lens is on my list, too.

You might check reputable camera stores near you for one. It is the "kit lens" for the 5D, but some people didn't want the lens. There's a store near me that was selling the unwanted kit versions at a discount ... you got the soft pouch, hood, end caps, just not a box.
