I can't imagine blowing that much money on a camera.

US$25k is what speculations is running on LUF with maybe one lens. No word on lenses. That makes it in the 'Blad body range.

Sounds like a nice camera though... If only I could justify such a beast...

Oh well, I do still like to read about them. Perhaps EL "PIC" will get one and let us all know how it makes him a real photographer. (hehe...couldn't help myself).

So what happened to the S1?????????????????????? Grinning. Why start with S2??????????????????????

Will you need $100+ UV/IR cut filters for the lenses?

When will Cosina/Panasonic/Etc. make 3rd party lenses?

I think they have to price it substantially lower than the current MF offerings if they really want to sell to professionals as opposed to just a few rich dilettantes. Hassy, Sinar/Leaf, and Phase/Mamiya are all pretty well entrenched and well-known entities. Working pros aren't going to drop their current gear (and workflows) just for the red dot, especially given Leica's less-than-illustrious track record in the digital era. They're either going to have to offer substantial savings or substantial improvements in functionality and image quality to be taken seriously.

No cut filters and no 3rd party lenses. I want to know if they'll make a Nocti for it.
