Purchases eligible for this rebate must be made between October 19, 2008 and January 17, 2009.

This is what I was waiting for before purchasing two items on the rebate list. Yay!

EDITED: Even though B&H is closed until the middle of this week, I noticed the prices on the items in the rebate have already been adjusted (i.e., 70-200 f/2.8 L is now $1,110 rather than the regular $1,190, but the verbiage for the rebates hasn't been added yet). The rebates are instant, which is my favorite kind!

I'm guessing it's going to be pretty hard to come by for a few months, considering with all the pre-orders that will ship first. No need to drop the price in that kind of situation.

The "rebate" will be on finding owners of the first 5D looking to help fund purchases of the new one by selling. Once delivery of the Mark II starts, there will be a bunch out there!
