I've been in there a few times since they opened. I bought a strap once but based on every other experience I've had in there... I will not go back nor would I spend $0.02 in there.

Wow looks like they have good days and bad days... I used to use them as part of Labtricity for on line orders. The first time I saw one of the prints they were sending out I changed to another Labtricity lab and called them and asked them when the last time was they gave their monkey a new box of crayons. They were not willing to reprint, so I had another local lab reprint all the orders previously sent to them. The Camera Stop prints were horrible, dark, low on saturation, flimsy paper... Same images printed at the other lab were right on the money, speaking of which it cost me over a grand to get everything reprinted. I reported them to Labtricity but they are still a lab on there.

Same here with "adult > kid" treatment at Camera Stop, but they did have what I needed in a pinch so I bought it.

However, the most I have ever been "talked-down-to" was at Competitive Camera - on multiple occasions. Sure they have a great selection, but they think they have a corner on the DFW market and everyone needs to bow to their greatness. I make every effort to avoid going there...

See Like Camera Stop they must have there good and bad days. Back in 2003 when I was shopping for my first DSLR I went there with a lot of questions and was treated with respect and wasn't pressured into buying anything I couldn't afford. Over the years I have always found them helpful even if they are very busy. But on a busy day you better have your questions ready or you may find yourself standing around holding 5k of camera equipment you are intrested in until they have more time. During Christmas that place was a mad house.
I have had good experiences at Arlington Camera as well, but since I work next to Texas Stadium....

I also printed some stuff through Labtricity with them since they are literally "down the street" from the studio. I placed a $300.00 print order from a wedding, but thought the quality was pretty lackluster, so I had a discussion with the owner. He stated that they were "good prints" and it must be my fault for not knowing how to take a picture (if you ever met him you can probably hear him saying a comment like this), I kindly disagreed with him and explained that it was obvious that the prints seemed very dark, and the kicker was they were printed on the Fuji paper, when they are supposed to be the Kodak Endura. I told him that I do a lot of print business, and I am a believer in keeping business "local" at which point he told me "we are not a pro shop, nor do I care to cater to pro's". He went on to inform me that "the money" is in selling to the average Joe.

I would rather have a Root Canal done than visit his store again...

This is my nice "review" of Camera Stop.
