Geez us... I am a "don't put all your eggs in ONE basket" guy re: CF cards, but this was too good to pass up. I've ordered mine and will pick it up at the store. I'm sure I won't find anything else there I have to have....  Thanks for helping me spend money I don't have.....  |

I ordered on line. they wanted $18 to ship a CF card via USPS so I opted for store pick up. They called within 5 minutes to tell me they had it ready for me but I'd have to get it today or the sale price was off. I went there and picked it up. AND I DIDN"T BUY ANYTHING ELSE !! But, I did look at some upgraded desktop computers and monitors........ |

Why is it so cheap? Is it slow? How does this compare to a Sandisk Extreme III card? The 2gig version I bought was up around $80 |

If I sorted out the difference in the reporting of the speeds, they are the same speed. Sandisk has had a good corner of the market and the prices have fallen drastically in recent months. I bought 3 4gb Xtreme III cards and after rebate they cost a total of $10. Kingston may be unloading these cards to retailers in hope of converting Sandisk users, or just to dump inventory before the year end. I also think that CF memory has been way overpriced from the beginning. |
