After three and a half years, a new camera - 03-08-2009, 12:00 AM

It's been quite some time since I got my Rebel XT and it's been a great camera for me. However, it was time to upgrade. I ventured around, did research, looked at cameras for sale, thought a lot and made up my mind on a used 20D. I didn't need the features of the 30D/40D and the 50D was way out of my price range. I would like to thank Andrew, AndrewR69, for a great deal on an awesome camera. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was new. I also got a used BG-E2 grip from KEH.com. I am very happy with both of them.

I haven't gotten a chance to get outside and take pictures with it, but I was playing around with it last night while at my friends house and he ended up taking this picture of me with it. I have to say, with the lighting conditions in his living room, this is awesome. I am especially happy with the noise handling abilities at the higher ISOs. My XT never handled 1600 that well, I would hate to see what it would have looked like at 3200 if it could do it.

We've got storms planned for tomorrow in the area, hopefully that will make for some good shots and I can get out and use it more. I'm liking the faster multishot mode too. I have a feeling that I might be making some short films with it in the future.

Thanks again to Andrew and KEH for their part.
