I have been wanting this lens myself. I was told the 150-500 was sharper then the Bigma. I have the canon 70-200 so this would fit well into extending my range without needless overlap. Keep us posted with your next set of shots from this lens.

Here's a 100% crop of an image taken with the Sigma (I'm going to refer to it as the "Sigmasaurus" for now, since there doesn't seem to be a name for it yet like the "Bigma"). The detail holds up very well on my 5D, I've only added minor sharpening in LR.

Perhaps the only issue is the amount of vignetting this lens seems to produce on a full-frame camera, I also was shooting with the lens hood on, this may decrease considerably if I were to leave it off. Vignette doesn't really bother me, but it might bother some others.

That review looks to be of the Bigma (50-500) not the 150-500 OS. If the Bigma had OS I would have had a very tough decision to make.
