The third weekend in Oct comes to life with the Folklife Festival Centered on local pioneer life, demonstrations include horseshoeing, spinning, weaving, candlemaking, jellymaking, Jerky making, hoecake, making, and meat-corning. The highlight of the festival is a Civil War Re-Enactment. THe festival also features storytelling, a barbecue cookoff, pie bake-off, and eating contest, folk dancers, gunfighter shoot-outs, and a beard growing contest. |
